Shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children

SafePlace provides shelter and supervision in Broward and Palm Beach counties for all abused, abandoned, and neglected children when they are initially removed from their families. 4KIDS trained, qualified, and screened staff members and volunteers provide encouragement, guidance, and every amenity available to help the child learn to trust and laugh again. One of the only programs of its kind in the state of Florida, SafePlace 4KIDS welcomes children, newborn to 17 years of age, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Over 15 years ago, the foster care system was overcrowded and in need of restructure. SafePlace 4KIDS was launched in the face of an elevated need for more foster homes. As people in the community have responded, we have made major progress.

Today we still need:

• Prayer for wisdom in caring for these kids in crisis
• Families who will open their homes to foster children
• Voices to help each individual child navigate the system
• Donations to recruit and train foster parents (or to care for these children).
